How the Drugs Are Chosen The drugs are chosen by Plan Physicians for the Preferred Prescription Drug list based on the following: » Safety » Effectiveness » Affordability Most generic drugs are covered as long as the diagnosis or service received is a covered benefit. You Get the Lowest Copayment Physicians must prescribe generic drugs or drugs from our Preferred Prescription Drug list to ensure that you are charged the lowest copayment. However, drugs not listed as a Preferred Prescription Drug are also covered but require a higher copayment than if you purchase a generic drug or drug that is on the Arnett Health Plans Preferred Prescription Drug list.
